The highly anticipated Street of Dreams is only a handful of months away and we cannot wait! The Central Oklahoma Home Builders Association have put together the Street of Dreams to feature high-end, single-site homes that feature seven premier COHBA builders and the latest trends in technology and design in the homebuilding industry. All homes will be valued between $1,000,000 and nearly $2,000,000. With purchase of a ticket, you will be able to tour all homes open throughout the event. On the hunt for your dream home? Homes will be available for purchase if not previously under contract. But the great thing here is all of the builders build custom homes. So, if you enjoy a builder’s design but are working with a different budget, you can work with them to custom build a home that ts your needs! The event will feature a delicious food truck park, so come hungry! It also features inflatables for the kiddos as well as vendor tents featuring products and services relating to home construction, home design and the do-it-yourself industry. Tickets will go on sale this summer and will be available for purchase in advance (online and at local businesses) and at the door. A portion of ticket sales will go directly to Edmond Public Schools, as they are the benefitting partner of Street of Dreams! Don’t miss out on this great event!

Do you have a building style? If so, how would you briefly describe it?
My style is considered a blend of the latest trends with a strict adherence to the classical style of home building that has stood the test of time. We call it Classic AllenStyle.

This 7,000-square-foot home, located in Black Oak at Iron Horse Ranch in north Edmond, offers many of our most innovative features. It is transitional in design with all the latest technology. You’ll just have to see it to believe it!

You've been in the industry for 20 years. What's your favorite thing about being a homebuilder?
Fulfilling dreams. It doesn’t matter the size of the dream or the size of the home, we fulfill the dream of having a new home, whether you are investing in your first new home or looking for just the right size home for any stage of life.

If you can pick one, what is your favorite design trend right now?
I try not to have just one favorite design trend. I prefer to build homes that are timeless. We are currently featuring a transitional contemporary feel in many of our homes.

What is your best advice to readers when it comes to custom home building design?
Make certain your builder has the credentials and experience and follows best practices for the type and size of home you want. From our new Prelude Series, to AllenStyle Homes, Allenton Homes; from The Hill to Nichols Hills, we bring the same attention to detail no matter the price.
